Italian & Spanish Porcelain Paving
Porcelain is the gold standard for low-maintenance luxury. It is virtually non-porous, meaning it resists moss, algae, and frost damage perfectly.
The Fleming Standard: We exclusively use R11-rated anti-slip porcelain, ensuring a safe surface for children and the elderly, even during a Wexford downpour.
Natural Stone: Sandstone, Limestone & Granite
For those seeking a timeless, organic aesthetic, natural stone offers unique textures and tonal variations.
The Fleming Standard: Every stone is hand-selected and laid on a full wet-mortar bed. We never "dot and dab," a common shortcut that leads to loose flags and weed infestations.
Silver & Grey Granite
Extremely popular in the Southeast for its clean, contemporary lines and immense durability. Granite is ideal for high-traffic areas and outdoor kitchen foundations.

Not if you choose the right grade. We only install R11 slip-rated porcelain, which is specifically designed for outdoor use in wet climates. It offers more grip than traditional smooth concrete or natural limestone, making it one of the safest options for an Irish garden.
Weeds don't usually grow up from the ground; they take root in the dirt that settles in traditional sand-and-cement joints. We eliminate this by using Resin-Bound Jointing Mortar. This creates a rock-hard, non-porous seal that prevents seeds from germinating, keeping your patio weed-free for years.
This is a sign of "spot-bedding" (putting a dollop of mortar in the corners). Over time, water gets into the gaps, freezes, and pops the slab loose. At Fleming Renovations, we use a Full Wet-Bed system, ensuring 100% contact between the stone and the foundation.
An average 30–40 square metre patio usually takes 5 to 8 working days. This includes excavation, sub-base preparation, stone laying, and the "curing" time required before the joints can be resin-sealed.
While porcelain is naturally sealed, we highly recommend sealing Sandstone and Limestone. This protects the stone from the iron-rich soil and heavy moss growth common in Wexford. We offer a professional sealing service that preserves the natural color and makes cleaning significantly easier.
